Paul Giamatti is Zapruder in PARKLAND

Untitled

Parkland finds a fresh look at the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Paul Giamatti plays Abraham Zapruder, the accidental witness who happened to be filming the motorcade when JFK was shot. “That 26 seconds of film changed his life and all of our lives forever,” says writer/director Peter Landesman. “It’s the most examined and investigated piece of celluloid in the history of film.”

Billy Bob Thornton, Marcia Gay Harden and Zac Efron also star. The film opens Sept. 20.

Reese will star in WILD, “the story of an eleven-hundred-mile solo hike that broke down a young woman reeling from catastrophe—and built her back up again.”  She “faces down rattlesnakes and black bears, intense heat and record snowfalls, and both the beauty and loneliness of the trail. Told with great suspense and style, sparkling with warmth and humor, Wild vividly captures the terrors and pleasures of one young woman forging ahead against all odds on a journey that maddened, strengthened, and ultimately healed her.”

Nick Hornby (“An Education”) is writing the screenplay from Cheryl Strayed’s memoir. The full story at Collider.
